Off-ice

To be a successful hockey player, or to grow & develop better sports performance, training must be taken seriously to provide the appropriate progression for each student-athlete. The success of our program is dependent upon the player’s dedication and commitment to off-ice training.

  • MTC Hockey Academy is offering players the type of training that will support their efforts in development as a hockey player and sports performance.
  • MTC Hockey Academy has a number of facilities and resources located in the school to provide appropriate off-ice training programs.  

MTC Hockey Academy students will participate in two off-ice sessions/week.  


Students will work with instructors and trainers during this time to improve their flexibility, strength, speed, agility and conditioning.

We will also work on skating and shooting in our Hockey Performance Center (Synthetic Ice/Skating Treadmill) and two Fitness Centers (Rod Buga Fitness Center / MTC Performance Training Center).
